Human Breast Cell Atlas Seed Network

SEED HBCA

The original SEED HBCA Project was a mulitple insitute project, with MD Anderson, University of California Irvine, and Cold Springs Harbor.

Our project was for a Human Breast Cell Atlas Seed Network was funded in 2017 by the CZI. The Seed project focused on establishing technical conditions for isolating and classifying cell types in normal breast tissue to recommend best practices.

The expended HBCA project is a multiple institution project with MD Anderson, University of California Irvine, and Baylor College of Medicine.

In 2019, the orginal project was expanded to establish a comprehensive reference of cell types and cell states in human breast tissue with single cell and spatial resolution.
